Tails & Trims Mobile Dog Grooming · Manchester, UK

Hi, I'm Jamie — eight years grooming dogs, the last four running Tails & Trims as a fully insured mobile setup across Greater Manchester. My van's purpose-fitted with its own water and power, so you don't have to lift a finger: I park up, your dog hops in, and 60 to 150 minutes later they're back to you, fresh and happy.

Why mobile? Less stress, no travel, no waiting in a strange room next to barking strangers. For nervous, elderly, or reactive dogs especially, working one-on-one in their own driveway changes everything — most of my regulars I've groomed since they were puppies, and a good few are ones I was told "just won't sit for a groomer" before I tried slower and quieter.

Most dogs need a groom every four to six weeks to stay on top of coat condition and nails. Pick your regular slot and I'll keep coming back; you'll never have to remember it again. Not sure of your dog's size? It's by weight — Small is under 10kg (Yorkie-sized), Medium up to 25kg (Cocker-sized), Large up to 40kg (Labrador-sized), Extra Large beyond that.

What I offer

Bath & Brush — Small (under 10kg)

£28

The maintenance package for small dogs: warm shampoo and conditioner, blow-dry, 15-minute brush-out, nail trim, and ear clean. Perfect for between full grooms or for short-coated breeds who don't need a cut. Small is under 10kg — Yorkies, Pugs, Chihuahuas, Dachshunds, Pomeranians.

60 minutes

Bath & Brush — Medium (10–25kg)

£35

Same maintenance package, sized for medium dogs: shampoo, conditioner, blow-dry, brush-out, nails, ears. Great for keeping spaniels, beagles, and Frenchies clean and comfortable between cuts. Medium is 10–25kg — Cocker Spaniels, Beagles, French Bulldogs, Border Collies.

75 minutes

Bath & Brush — Large (25–40kg)

£45

Maintenance bath and brush for larger dogs: the full clean-up without the cut. Especially good for double-coated breeds during shedding seasons. Large is 25–40kg — Labradors, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds.

90 minutes

Bath & Brush — Extra Large (40kg+)

£55

Bath, blow-dry, brush-out, nails, and ears for the genuinely big lads. The two-hour slot is for actually getting them properly dry — these coats hold serious water. Extra Large is 40kg and up — Great Danes, Newfoundlands, St Bernards.

120 minutes

Full Groom — Small (under 10kg)

£40

The full works for small breeds: everything in Bath & Brush plus a breed-specific cut and style, face/feet/sanitary trim, de-shed, and gland expression. The right choice every 4–6 weeks for breeds that need regular trimming. Small is under 10kg — Yorkies, Shih Tzus, Maltese, Bichon Frises.

90 minutes

Full Groom — Medium (10–25kg)

£52

Full groom for medium breeds: bath, dry, breed-specific cut, face/feet/sanitary trim, de-shed, gland expression. Ideal for the every-4-weeks cycle most cockers, schnauzers, and doodles need. Medium is 10–25kg.

105 minutes

Full Groom — Large (25–40kg)

£68

The premium groom for larger dogs: complete bath, breed cut and finish, de-shed, gland expression. Sets up double-coated breeds for a tidy month ahead. Large is 25–40kg — Labradors, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds.

120 minutes

Full Groom — Extra Large (40kg+)

£85

Two and a half hours of full groom for the largest breeds: thorough bath, blow-out, breed-style cut, sanitary trim, de-shed, gland expression. Done at your door so they don't have to travel. Extra Large is 40kg+.

150 minutes

Add-on — Teeth brushing

£8

A proper enzymatic brush, not a chew. Helps keep tartar in check between vet cleans; ideal as a bolt-on to any groom.

15 minutes

Add-on — Nail grinding

£10

Smoother finish than clippers and especially good for dogs that find the clip uncomfortable. Quieter rotary grinder, taken slowly so they can settle into it.

15 minutes

Add-on — De-matting

£15

Carefully working through tangled or matted coat by hand and with a slicker, with a low threshold for switching to a shave-down if it'd cause discomfort. Welfare first, every time.

30 minutes

Add-on — Flea / medicated shampoo treatment

£12

Vet-grade medicated shampoo treatment for flea, itch, or sensitive-skin needs. Bring me your prescribed product and I'll work it in properly, or I can use my stock if you'd rather.

20 minutes

Puppy's first groom (gentle 45-min intro)

£20

A gentle introduction for puppies aged 12–16 weeks (post second vaccinations). No clipper noise unless they're settled — mostly bath, blow-dry on low, light brush, getting them used to the table and the routine. Sets them up for a calm grooming life.

Behind the scenes

How Jamie runs Tails & Trims on Soopaspace

Everything below is set up on Jamie’s account. What you see on this page is what Soopaspace gave him to work with.

What Jamie does today

Live on this page
  • Tiered service menu

Jamie’s menu runs from £28 to £85 by dog size, with bath & brush and full-groom tiers and a row of bolt-on add-ons. Customers self-identify their dog’s size from the weight bands; no quoting back and forth.

  • Alternate-week availability

Jamie works alternate Saturdays. Soopaspace rotates his availability automatically — page through the calendar and you’ll see Saturdays appear every other week.

  • Time off, blocked out cleanly

Jamie blocks his holiday and those dates just vanish from the booking calendar. No accidental bookings on days he’s away. Look ~3 weeks ahead to see his next scheduled break.

  • Buffer times between bookings

Jamie builds in 15 minutes of travel between mobile appointments. Soopaspace spaces every slot so he’s never double-booked across town.

  • Recurring bookings for regulars

Most dogs need a groom every four to six weeks. Jamie’s regulars book their cycle once and Soopaspace repeats it — they never have to remember to rebook.

  • Automatic reminders

Every customer gets a reminder 24 hours and 1 hour before their slot. Cuts no-shows hard, and Jamie didn’t have to set anything up.

  • Customer self-service

The confirmation email carries a private link customers can use to reschedule or cancel themselves, within Jamie’s notice window. Saves the back-and-forth.

What Jamie will be able to do as Soopaspace grows

Coming · not live yet
  • Take card payment at booking

Soon, Jamie will accept card payment the moment a customer books, instead of asking them to bank transfer or pay on the day. For now he handles payments off-platform with the methods listed above.

  • Two-way calendar sync

Soopaspace will read Jamie’s other diaries too, so a vet’s appointment in his personal calendar will block that slot here automatically. Today the sync is one-way: Soopaspace bookings push out to his calendar, not the other way round yet.

Full roadmap, no dates promised, at soopaspace.com/where-we-are.
