Needed for the service to work
Without these, you could not sign in, connect your calendar or book.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Set by our sign-in provider, Supabase. | Until you sign out, or up to 400 days |
| gcal_oauth_state, ms_oauth_state, zoom_oauth_state, hmrc_oauth_state, hmrc_oauth_return | Protects the connection when you link Google Calendar, Outlook, Zoom or HMRC, so the reply really comes from the service you asked. | 10 minutes, cleared when the connection completes |
| ss_recovery | Confirms you have just opened a password reset link from your own inbox, so only you can set a new password. | 15 minutes |
| Booking basket (browser tab storage) | Remembers what you have added to your basket on a booking page while you finish booking. | Until you close the tab |
Referrals and our own visitor counting
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| soopa_ref | If you arrive through a referral link, remembers the code so the business that referred you can be credited when you sign up. | 90 days |
| soopa_sid (browser tab storage) | Our own anonymous visitor counting on the marketing pages (not the dashboard and not businesses’ booking pages): a random code that joins up the pages seen in one visit. | Until you close the tab |
| sp_vid | Our own visitor counting on the marketing pages (not the dashboard and not businesses’ booking pages). A random code that lets us see when the same browser comes back, which pages it looked at and how it found us. If you go on to create an account, start a website scan or join a list, we link the earlier visits from this browser to you. | 13 months |
| sp_optout | Remembers that you asked us not to count your visits. | 2 years |
| sp_dont_count | Only set on our own team’s devices, to leave our visits out of the visitor count. | 2 years |
The visitor code is random. It is not made from your name, email or IP address, we never store your IP address, and we do not use the code on any other website or share it. Our host tells us roughly where a visit comes from (country and town) and we note the type of device. If you create an account, start a scan or join a list, the visits made on this browser are linked to you, so we can understand what brought you to Soopaspace and improve it. After 13 months we remove the visitor code, the town and the browser details from anonymous visits, so what is left (the page, the date and how the visit arrived) cannot be linked to anyone; if your account is closed, the link between your visits and your account is deleted with it. You can stop this at any time with the button below, which deletes the code and stops counting this browser. We also respect your browser’s Global Privacy Control setting. On businesses’ booking pages, a separate count of visits, and of which items on the page each visit saw, opened or started to book, uses a code that lasts only for that page load and is not stored in your browser. Only totals are kept, and the button below stops this count too.
Analytics and performance
Our host, Vercel, measures overall traffic (Vercel Analytics) and how quickly pages load on real devices (Vercel Speed Insights). Vercel states that its Analytics does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites or devices.
What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no third-party tracking cookies, and nothing that tracks you across other websites.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the sign-in cookie will stop you staying signed in. Storage kept in a browser tab is cleared when you close the tab. Questions: hello@soopaspace.com.
