When they accept, a card deposit on the quote holds the moving date, so the day set aside for the van and the crew is paid toward rather than pencilled in. The balance is invoiced after the move, with the deposit already off the total.

Common questions
- Does the deposit come off the final bill?
- Yes. The deposit paid on the quote is deducted from the total, so the invoice after the move only asks for the balance.
- What if the move takes longer than quoted?
- You raise the final invoice for the work actually done, so it reflects the real move. The deposit still comes off, and the customer pays the balance by card from the email.
