For cake makers

A deposit holds the date

A big cake can book out a whole day of your week, so a cancelled order is a real cost. Soopaspace takes a deposit by card when the order is placed, so a held date is a committed one.

Free to start with your booking page, bookings and clients. Everything else is one paid plan: £9.99/month billed yearly, or £12.99 monthly.

A deposit when the order is placed

Set a deposit on each kind of order, taken by card as the customer books, with the balance due nearer the day. The date is held from the moment the deposit is paid, so you are not keeping a weekend free on trust.

  • A deposit set per kind of order
  • Taken by card when the order is placed
  • The date held the moment it is paid
  • The balance due nearer the day

The rest settled your way

The deposit comes off the total, so the customer only owes the balance. Settle it by card from an invoice, by bank transfer, or in person on collection, whatever suits you both. A reminder goes out before the day so nothing is forgotten.

  • The deposit comes off the total
  • Balance by card, transfer or on collection
  • A reminder before the day
  • The customer sees exactly what is left

Common questions

Can I take a deposit for a wedding cake months away?
Yes. The deposit is taken by card when the order is placed and holds the date however far ahead it is, with the balance due nearer the time.
What happens to the deposit if a customer cancels?
The deposit is taken at the order and recorded against it, so a date held far ahead is paid toward rather than on trust. Your own terms decide what happens to it on a cancellation.
