A wedding breakfast or a big party is booked long before the day, and that date is one you cannot double-book. Soopaspace takes a deposit by card when the booking is made, so a held date is a committed one.

A deposit when the date is booked
Take a deposit by card the moment an event is booked, with the balance due after the day. The date is held from the second the deposit is paid, so you are not turning away other work for an event that might not happen.

- Does the deposit come off the final bill?
