A good Saturday is booked a long way out, and that night is one you cannot play twice. Soopaspace takes a deposit by card when the booking is made, so a held date is a committed one.

A deposit when the night is booked
Set a deposit on each kind of booking you offer, taken by card the moment a client books, with the balance due nearer the night. The date is held from the second the deposit is paid, so you are not keeping a prime Saturday free on trust.

The rest settled your way
The deposit comes off the fee, so the client only owes the balance. Settle it by card from an invoice, by bank transfer, or in cash on the night, whatever you both prefer. A reminder goes out before the night so nothing is forgotten.

- Can I take a deposit for a night months away?
- Yes. The deposit is taken by card when the booking is made and holds the date however far ahead it is, with the balance due nearer the night.
- What if the client cancels after paying a deposit?
- The deposit is taken at booking and recorded against the booking, so a date held far ahead is paid toward rather than held on trust. Your own terms decide what happens to it on a cancellation.
