Set a deposit on the event or the date, taken by card when the client commits, with the balance due as the event approaches. The date is held the moment the deposit is paid.

- Can I take a deposit for an event months away?
- Yes. The deposit is taken by card when the client books and holds the date however far ahead it is, with the balance invoiced nearer the time.
- What if the client cancels after paying a deposit?
- The deposit is recorded against the event, so a date held ahead is paid toward rather than held on trust. Your own terms decide what happens to it on a cancellation.
