A booked job is a slot and a drive you cannot get back if the customer changes their mind. Soopaspace takes a deposit by card when the job is booked, so a slot held is a slot paid toward.

Set a deposit on the work, taken by card when the job is booked, with the balance due on completion. A bigger job or a longer drive can carry a bigger deposit, so the more the slot is worth to you, the more is secured.

The deposit comes off the total, so the customer only owes the balance. Settle it by card from an invoice, by transfer, or in cash on the driveway, and a reminder goes out before the slot.

- Can I ask for a deposit on longer jobs only?
- Yes. You decide which jobs carry a deposit and how much, so a quick job can take nothing and a longer one carries more, each taken by card at booking.
- What happens to the deposit on a cancellation?
- The deposit is taken at booking and recorded against the job, so a slot held is paid toward rather than held on trust. Your own terms decide what happens on a cancellation.
