For roofers

A deposit holds the day

Setting a day aside for a roof that falls through is time you cannot earn back, and the scaffold may already be booked. Soopaspace takes a deposit by card when the job is booked, so the day you set aside is a day that happens.

Free to start with your booking page, bookings and clients. Everything else is one paid plan: £9.99/month billed yearly, or £12.99 monthly.

A deposit when the job is booked

Set a deposit on the job, taken by card when the customer accepts, with the balance due on completion. A bigger job that blocks out days, or needs a lot of tile and a scaffold booked in, can carry a bigger deposit, so you are not funding the job before you start.

  • A card deposit when the job is booked
  • Bigger jobs can hold a bigger deposit
  • Covers the day and the materials
  • The balance paid when the work is done

The rest settled your way

The deposit comes off the total, so the customer only owes the balance. Settle it by card from an invoice, by bank transfer, or in person once the scaffold is down, whatever suits the two of you, and a reminder goes out before the start date.

  • The deposit comes off the total
  • Balance by card, transfer or in person
  • The customer sees what is left to pay
  • A reminder before the start date

Common questions

Can I ask for a deposit to cover tiles and scaffold?
Yes. You set the deposit per job, so a job that needs tiles, lead or a scaffold booked in, or a run of days, can carry a larger deposit, taken by card when the customer accepts.
What if the dates change for the weather?
The deposit holds the booking and counts toward the total. If the day moves, the job moves with its deposit, and the balance is invoiced when the work is done.
