A deposit when they book the hour
Set a fixed deposit on a lesson, taken by card as the pupil books, with the balance settled in the car. It works for a first lesson with someone new as much as for a regular slot, so the hour is committed to before it is on your calendar.

- Can I take a deposit on a driving lesson rather than the full price?
- Yes. Each lesson can carry a fixed deposit, taken by card when the pupil books, with the rest paid in person. Lessons without a deposit are booked as normal.
- What if a pupil needs to move a lesson they have paid a deposit on?
- The reminder email has a reschedule link. As long as they move it within the notice period you set, the lesson and its deposit carry over to the new time rather than being lost.
